  • Developing Adaptive and Coordinated Traffic Control Strategies to Improve Freeway Mobility – Variable Speed Limit (VSL) Field Operation Test in the Whitemud Drive Corridor

This project follows the previous two years of simulation and off-line field data analysis and model development. We will conduct the field operation test of VSL to improve both mobility and safety for the chosen urban freeway corridor – Whitemud Drive.

Anticipated duration: 5 years (April 2010 – March 2015)
